Artist's Comments
Okay - it says 'digital' because I had to choose one of the two options but actually this is an image I drew with a 3B pencil on cartridge paper, scanned in, cropped and blew up (about 600% bigger) then worked into with brushes on Corel Paintshop Pro.
I did this as a quick experiment for my art and design exam in which I'm focusing on really, really close up detail in shells. The original image was on a piece of A4 paper and is approximately 2.5cm x 1.2cm of a 4.2 x 6.5cm drawing. So, it's considerably bigger now. Later note: 19/03 This piece is going to be one of my final pieces for my art exam ^_^ It'll be spread over two sheets of A2 glossy paper! I've been busy embellishing it to give it more tonal variation than the version shown above. So, it should look awesome when it's done and mounted. |
